Hunt: Showdown Update 1.4.8 has arrived, dotting a host of new Watch Towers around the map along with some new Weapon Variants and Legendary Weapons for players to enjoy.

If you haven't yet played Hunt: Showdown, you've missed out on a game with a lot of character. The Louisana Swamps are filled with all sorts of deadly, otherworldly creatures — it's up to you to jump into a world mixing PvP and PvE combat and take out some truly monstrous entities. Now, things are about to get a bit better with some new additions in the latest patch!

What's New in Hunt: Showdown Update 1.4.8?

The first notable addition in Hunt: Showdown Update 1.4.8 is several Watch Towers popping up on the map in certain locations. Hunters will be able to find ammo, health, or weapons at these locations, although it won't quite be as much as you'd get at a supply post.

Adding to this is a little more variety for the gameplay with the addition of several new guns and weapon variants: For example, the Nagant M1895 Officer Carbine Deadeye is a variant of the Officer Carbine with a Deadeye scope; while it will give you increased range, it will also be harder to control recoil when aiming down the sights. New Legendary Weapons are entering the mix, too; one such new creation is "Death Letter," a Legendary M1895 Nagant Officer Brawler.

Hunt: Showdown is a somewhat DLC-heavy game and there are some new premium options debuting in this patch as well. Ronin Inuta Bakin has left Japan after the Tokugawa Shogunate was deposed, bringing his Tanto and "Seinan Sharpshooter" Springfield 1866 with him.

As always, Update 1.4.8 also brings a bunch of bug fixes and other improvements to the game; you can read about them in the full Hunt: Showdown Update 1.4.8 patch notes. If you haven't yet jumped into this game, you can buy Hunt: Showdown for PC, PS4, and Xbox One starting at $39.99 or your regional equivalent via its official website.
