How to Get a Gun in Farwood Pioneers
There are four ways to get a Gun in Farworld Pioneers:
- Research Armory and Craft a Gun
- Loot a Gun from a chest
- Loot a Gun from a dead Raider
- Buy a Gun from a merchant
Unless you get lucky, your best option to consistently get a Gun is by Researching "Armory," Building the Armory Workbench, and Crafting Guns.
Best Gun in Farwood Pioneers
Strictly speaking, the best Gun in Farworld Pioneers is the Nuke Launcher. This single-shot launcher can take out a huge chunk of terrain and do a massive amount of damage to any enemies in your way.
That said, throwing around nukes left and right is hardly practical -- especially when they're in the hands of your Colonists. I recommend that you equip yourself and your Colonists with Simple Carbines as soon as you can; these single-shot rifles will be fairly accurate and will help you conserve ammo. Once you start saving up a couple hundred Steel Ingots, you can Research "Advanced Gunsmithing" and upgrade yourself and your Colonists to the superior Battle Rifle.
