Redhill Games CEO Matias Myllyrinne introduced a brand new teaser trailer for their upcoming tactical shooter game Nine to Five.

The trailer starts off with a weird joke, showing off anthropomorphic rabbits shooting AR-15's in wildly in the air. The jarring cartoonish-ness is interrupted by the only appropriate comment you can make, a mercenary decked out in SWAT gear saying 'What the Fuck' before we cut to an overhead view of five mercs together.

9 to 5 rabbits
Yeah, the rabbits are an odd choice.

Nine to Five is a PvP first-person tactical shooter that focuses heavily on strategic, team-based gameplay. The game is set in a near-future where 'corporations rule everything and being a mercenary is just another job,' but the heart of the game will be the tactics the players can employ against their opponents. Each match will pit three teams of three against each other across three intense rounds with changing objectives. Every round influences the next, ratcheting up the tension and forcing players to constantly adapt their strategy to win.

Myllyrinne points out that Nine to Five is not a game about brute force, but rather flexibility of teams to work together to complete objectives.  "A lot of modern shooters are often too chaotic and random to really let you enjoy them," stated Myllyrinne. "With Nine to Five, we’re challenging players with creative new mechanics to bring back that classic feeling of playing with friends, finding your role, and working together to outplay the competition,”

Considering the odd tone of the trailer, it seems like Nine to Five is going to lean a bit more on some comedic elements than other tactical shooters, but that could also just be for the trailer and not representative of the game.

Right now, Redhill Games is letting players sign up for the Alpha of Nine to Five on their website. No official release date has been announced for Nine to Five, but Myllyrinne hopes to get the Alpha going in 2020 for the PC.
