A new Cities: Skylines 2 update has arrived, and it's bringing Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution support, as well as a metric ton of bug fixes.

The update is part of Paradox and Colossal Order's ongoing mission to redeem itself for Cities: Skylines 2's poorly-received launch, as well as the recently-released Beach Properties DLC, which was met with anger and frustration by the game's community.

First up, Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution is now available in the game. If you're not familiar with it, Super Resolution uses AI to "output higher resolution frames from a lower resolution input", per Nvidia. Hopefully, this should mean Cities: Skylines 2 runs a little better on your PC.

Cities: Skylines 2 has received a new update with tons of bug fixes and DLSS Super Resolution support.

You can also look forward to an absolute ton of bug fixes for many common errors. The bug fixes are relatively small, but bugs add up, as you'll know if you've experienced any of the aggravating-sounding issues fixed in today's update.

Various other performance improvements have also been implemented, which should hopefully contribute towards making Cities: Skylines 2 a slightly smoother experience.

Notably, this patch also brings free Beach Properties content to users after Paradox pledged to stop charging for the DLC and include its content in the base game instead.

Paradox and Colossal Order are working on more updates for Cities: Skylines 2.

According to Colossal Order, the next update for Cities: Skylines 2 will include an extensive rework of the game's economy and will take around a month to complete.

Additionally, developer Colossal Order says that it's working on "the remaining issues with the asset import pipeline" for modding. Once these issues are fixed, you'll be able to import your own assets into Cities: Skylines 2.

However, work on this is "proving more difficult than [the studio] hoped", which means it will probably take "several more months" for asset importing to be fully ready.

You can read the full Cities: Skylines 2 patch notes for the latest update right here. The game is available now for PC (and it's also part of PC Game Pass), with console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S due to arrive sometime in the future as well.
