A new Helldivers 2 update has arrived, fixing more of the crashes about which players have been complaining for the last few weeks.

Per the game's official Steam page, the patch isn't a big one, but it does address crashes in various situations, including after mission extraction, during a mission if too many civilians spawn, and in the loadout screen if players leave or join.

Other fixes include damage discrepancies between PC and PS5 players, as well as improperly-displayed major order text and "various improvements to stability".

Insert obvious joke about zapping bugs here.

As ever, there are several issues that Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead says it's aware of and looking to address in future updates.

These issues include enemies not progressing personal orders if they're killed through bleed damage, as well as minor bugs like planet liberation reaching 100% at the end of Defend missions, regardless of the planet's actual status.

The update comes at the same time as a Helldivers 2 developer warns players not to get too attached to datamined content, as it may not end up in the finished game.

In the Helldivers 2 Discord server (thanks, PC Gamer), an Arrowhead staffer tells fans that they "don't look at datamined stuff" and that they "would avoid falling in love with it", as some content is simply "leftovers" from previous development cycles.

Take every Helldivers 2 leak you see with a pinch of salt, says Arrowhead.

In the past few weeks, players have reported a number of intriguing phenomena within Helldivers 2's world, including the apparent appearance of massive cloaked ships and reports of players being attacked by blue beams.

These reports have sometimes been accompanied by datamined content; voice lines involving "squids", presumably the Illuminate faction from the original Helldivers, were leaked a short while ago, for instance.

If something is observed within Helldivers 2, it's probably safe to assume it'll be making its way into the main game at some point, but it seems Arrowhead wants you to make sure to exercise caution when you're interacting with Helldivers 2 leaks.

You can grab Helldivers 2 right now on PC and PlayStation 5. Make sure to take a look at our review if you want to know whether it's worth your time, and if you're in need of help with the game's systems, check out our guides for weapons, stratagems, and ship upgrades too.
