Ready at Dawn has revealed that the Lone Echo 2 release date has been delayed to later this year, pushing back the launch of this Oculus-exclusive, zero-gravity space game by several months.
Lone Echo 2 is the sequel to Ready at Dawn's 2017 VR game Lone Echo. Players take on the role of an advanced AI with a synthetic body named Jack who is tasked with helping Captain Olivia Rhodes operate a mining facility floating in the rings of Saturn. It's a little more than helping with work, though — there's a big mystery to solve and it's up to you to help Captain Rhodes solve it!
Since its release, a sequel has been announced and was initially targeting an August 24 launch on the Oculus Store. Unfortunately, it looks like Ready at Dawn isn't quite ready to let this game out into the world.
"Like many game studios over the past couple of years, our team has tackled new obstacles in development, and has needed to be inventive and resourceful to reach this point," read a statement from Ready at Dawn on Medium. "We have been working hard to deliver the very best experience possible and we are eager to have you join Liv and Jack in their adventures once again. However, as we get closer to launch day, it has become clear that we needed a bit more time to polish and reach our desired quality level."
When is the Lone Echo 2 Release Date?
The Lone Echo 2 release date will be sometime later this year. Unfortunately, Ready at Dawn has not yet provided a specific release date.
