Takeshi & Hiroshi

Developed and published by Oink Games, Takeshi & Hiroshi is a game where puppet animation and Role Playing Games unite while telling the story of two brothers and their daily life.

Originally published on the Apple App Store for the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, the game has 14-year-old Takeshi (who is a game designer in the making) who is creating a game for his "weak" little brother Hiroshi, who is eager to play the next chapter in the video game as soon as possible.

As the game is still in development and Takeshi doesn't know that Steam's Early Access is something that exists, Takeshi improvises for his impatient brother and plays some of the monster roles himself. As Hiroshi is weak, Takeshi doesn't want him to get 360-noscoped by the monsters, so he's doing his best to level the playing field for his brother. Takeshi wants him to suffer a little bit and to overcome challenges, but not the extent where he will get PTSD flashbacks a few years later.

As Takeshi, players will choose how the monsters appear, and the game will get harder over time as the challenge of being a game creator becomes more difficult. Players will almost get two different genres of game combined in one, as a puppet animation and RPG title that follows the story of Takeshi and Hiroshi, two brothers who are bonding over their love of videogames.

Takeshi & Hiroshi is releasing on the Nintendo Switch later today.
