Thanks to an Xbox announcement, we now know when the Valheim Game Pass release date will land. The Viking survival sim is headed for Microsoft's subscription service later this month on PC, although we still don't have a Valheim console release date, unfortunately.
When is the Valheim Game Pass release date?
Get ready to pay tribute to Allfather Odin, because the Valheim Game Pass release date is September 29th, according to the official Xbox blog. Iron Gate's Viking survival sim was originally announced to be coming to PC Game Pass, as well as Xbox consoles, back in June this year, so it's nice to finally have a PC Game Pass release date for it.
Unfortunately, the Xbox announcement didn't reveal when we can expect a Valheim console release. If you're waiting for the game to hit your Xbox Series X|S, or indeed any other console, then it seems like you're going to have to wait just a little bit longer, sadly.
What else is coming to Xbox Game Pass in September 2022?
As well as Valheim, several other games are also coming to Xbox Game Pass as part of the second September wave. The first wave of Game Pass titles this month memorably included Metal: Hellsinger and Disney Dreamlight Valley, but the second is bringing even more fire, with Deathloop and Hardspace: Shipbreaker hitting Game Pass today.
Also coming this month are co-op brawler SpiderHeck, storybook narrative adventure Beacon Pines, and the Game Preview version of farming sim Slime Rancher 2. Side-scrolling Soulslike Moonscars, a full release of backyard survival game Grounded, and management sim Let's Build A Zoo will follow, with cutesy racer Paw Patrol Grand Prix rounding out the month of September.
