Ever since he was small, Tyler Chancey has had a deep, abiding love for video games and a tendency to think and overanalyze everything he enjoyed. This passion continued into his adulthood as he continued to express his love of the medium across multiple different hobbyist sites, refining his creative voice. He has worn many hats as part of these endeavors. Writer, editor, consultant, PR, podcast host, the list goes on. While many of those outlets have closed their doors, the experience gained was vital.
Tyler is a major advocate for not just games as a creative medium and a form of entertainment, but in its therapeutic application for those coping with mental illness. This has extended into his coverage and love of the tabletop and TTRPG space thanks to his passionate association with non-profit organizations like The Bodhana Group, and Rise Above the Disorder. This has instilled a strong desire to ensure that all voices from all walks of life are welcome at the table and can have their moments in the spotlight, and all of the skills of communication and emotional labor that comes with it.
When he isn't writing about games, making material for his TTRPG campaigns with fellow colleagues and beloved streamers, or singing as part of his local church congregation, he spends his time disguised as nobody important.
