Back at September's Realms Deep 2023, New Blood Interactive announced Dusk HD. As the name implies, it is a visual update for their late 90s-inspired boomer shooter. Now, they have released a new Dusk HD trailer, alongside other developments for the game.

The Dusk HD trailer reveal

The Dusk HD trailer is a full three-minute comparison video. The footage compares and contrasts the original footage of Dusk with the new Dusk HD. Everything from enemy models, level geometry, and weapons has gotten a facelift.

Stylistically, Dusk HD appears to be a modest visual upgrade. This isn't a glossy update with HDR or ray tracing, but one that makes the game look less like an early 90s Quake throwback and closer to an early 2000s Unreal Tournament throwback.

Lastly, as the trailer emphasizes near the end, Dusk HD is a free optional update with no DRM or strings attached. In addition, Dusk HD fully supports mods. This update will be available on December 11.

Dusk for PS4 and Metal: Hellsinger Collab

That is not the only Dusk-related news dropped by New Blood Interactive. Today, they dropped a new trailer announcing Dusk for PS4.

The trailer itself is tongue-in-cheek. Essentially, it's the same trailer made to announce Dusk coming to Nintendo Switch, but with a Dualshock 4 controller hastily photoshopped over the Switch.

Still, the message is clear. Dusk is now available digitally for PS4, complete with 60 FPS gameplay and a new level. Plus, a PS5 update (and a better trailer) will be coming soon. For fans of physical copies, physical discs are available for pre-order at New Blood's store.

Lastly, fans of the heavy metal rhythm shooter Metal: Hellsinger have some new beats in which to slay demons. A free update to the game has added nine tracks from the Dusk's soundtrack, all composed by Andrew Hulshult. There's even a new trailer showcasing the mix of both gameplay and music.
