Techland has revealed the Dying Light 2 roadmap for fall and winter, showcasing what's coming to the open-world zombie-slaying game for the rest of the year and beyond.

Over the next few months, you can look forward to a number of new features, including new missions, firearm weapons, and the new Tower Raid mode, which is Techland's response to players asking for dungeon-style raids.

Other features coming to Dying Light 2 include text chat, dismantling for gear and mods, and a new Nightmare difficulty, as well as community mod support (not just map support) and more.

Of course, Dying Light 2 is also getting new events and crossovers over the next few months.

Following on from the Summertime update's Payday crossover, you can look forward to a Vampire: The Masquerade collaboration in October, which feels like a fitting way to celebrate Bloodlines 2 getting its new developer.

The Halloween event will follow shortly afterwards, officially bringing an end to spooky season for Dying Light 2, and then it's time for a For Honor collaboration in November.

In December, a winter celebration event will mark the holiday period, and following that, you can look forward to a Dying Light 2 anniversary celebration, which will presumably arrive in February next year.

This is all part of Techland's commitment to at least five years of post-launch content for Dying Light 2, although, of course, that doesn't mean we won't be getting more than five years' worth of support.

Dying Light 2 is the sequel to Techland's 2015 open-world zombie parkour game Dying Light.

It expands the gameplay of the first with new enemy types, player abilities, and traversal mechanics, as well as a much bigger map to explore.

You can grab the game right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. A Nintendo Switch version is also planned for release at some point in the future.
